Asian American Racism
Over the past year, there has been a rise in racism towards Asian Americans in the form of violent anti-Asian hate crimes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The radicalization by the media and xenophobic rhetoric has fueled the thousands of racial hate crimes against Asian and Asian Americans alike. We are interested in examining the impact of racism on health outcomes among Asian Americans. In our prior research, we have examined the link between racism and alcohol use.
